In May 2015, the Company entered into a joint venture with USAA Insurance Company to acquire these assets at an extremely attractive basis, following a failed sale in the typical ‘on-market’ process. We completed extensive capital improvement and redevelopment programs at each building, re-leased 126,000 square feet, converting tenancies from garment-based retail businesses to technology and media companies, along with food-and-drink and fitness operators as the neighborhood evolved. The partnership exited these investments in 2018.
